Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Land at JRO and meet your driver-guide for a private transfer straight to Arusha, Tanzania's northern safari hub. Settle into your hotel and get a full trip briefing — vehicle, route, daily timings, and what to expect over the next 9 days. The rest of the day is yours to unwind after your flight, with the safari starting fresh tomorrow morning.
Day 2: Arusha to Central Serengeti (Seronera)
Depart Arusha after breakfast and climb into the Ngorongoro Highlands, with the crater rim and coffee farms rolling past your window. Descend through Karatu and cross into the Serengeti via Naabi Hill Gate, where the plains open up wide and flat to the horizon. Game viewing continues as you push toward Seronera, tracking wildlife along the way in your private Land Cruiser — stop whenever you spot something worth stopping for. Arrive at your Seronera lodge or camp in the late afternoon for an evening game drive before dinner.
Day 3: Full Day Private Game Drive, Central Serengeti
Head out early into the Seronera Valley, the Serengeti's most concentrated predator territory, tracking lion prides along the riverine woodlands. Spend the full day exploring at your own pace — no shared vehicle, no fixed route — with your guide reading tracks and radio chatter to find leopard and cheetah. Break for a bush picnic lunch in the field, then continue into the afternoon as the light softens and animals move to water. Return to your lodge for a hot shower and dinner, with the day's sightings still fresh.

Day 4: Serengeti Plains to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
One last morning game drive through the Serengeti plains before breakfast, catching the cooler hours when predators are most active. Depart for Ngorongoro, climbing back up through the highlands with views over the crater's forested rim. Stop for lunch en route, then continue to your crater-rim lodge in time to watch the afternoon mist settle over the caldera. Evening at leisure with panoramic views — this is one of the most dramatic overnight stops on the entire circuit.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Floor Descent to Arusha / Flight to Zanzibar
Descend early into the Ngorongoro caldera floor — a self-contained ecosystem packed with density most parks can't match. Track black rhino, lion, and dense herds of wildebeest and zebra around the crater's soda lakes, where flamingos gather in their thousands. Picnic lunch on the crater floor before the climb back out and the drive to Arusha for your scheduled flying safari to Zanzibar. Land in Zanzibar, transfer to your beach resort, and trade savanna dust for ocean air.
Day 6: Zanzibar Island – Stone Town Historic & Spice Tour
After breakfast, head into Stone Town for a guided walk through its narrow alleys, carved doors, and Swahili-Arab architecture. Visit the old slave market and memorial, a sobering stop that anchors the island's history. Continue to a working spice farm outside town for a hands-on tour and tastings — cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, and more, grown right where you're standing. Return to your coastal resort by evening, city streets swapped back for beachfront.
Day 7: Zanzibar Coastal Relaxation (Nungwi / Kendwa Beach)
Transfer north to Nungwi or Kendwa, home to Zanzibar's whitest sand and calmest turquoise water. No itinerary today — settle into your resort, swim, or just do nothing at all. Optional add-on: a sunset dhow cruise along the coast, traditional sail against the evening light.
Day 8: Zanzibar Island Shores & Watersports
Morning free to explore the reef just offshore — snorkeling or scuba diving are both easy to arrange from your resort. Optional watersports available for the more active: kayaking, kitesurfing, or jet skiing along the coast. Evening at leisure, with dinner at your resort or a short walk to a nearby beachfront restaurant.
Day 9: Leisure on Zanzibar Coast
A full free day to close out the trip — beach time, a spa treatment, or simply slow mornings with no schedule. Optional excursion to Mnemba Atoll, one of the best snorkeling sites in the Indian Ocean, home to sea turtles and reef fish in clear water. Final evening on the island — a good night for a sunset dinner on the sand.
Day 10: Departure Transfer to Zanzibar Airport (ZNZ)
Final breakfast at your resort before checkout. Private transfer to Zanzibar Airport (ZNZ), timed to your departure flight. Trip ends on arrival at the airport — 10 days, one vehicle, no one else's schedule but yours.

Getting There & Travel Logistics
Fly into Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) to begin your safari — most international carriers connect via Amsterdam, Doha, Dubai, or Nairobi. Your driver-guide meets you on arrival for the transfer to Arusha.
The Internal Flight to Zanzibar
The internal flight from Arusha (or Kilimanjaro) to Zanzibar (ZNZ) is included and typically takes under 90 minutes, operated by scheduled carriers on small aircraft. This flying safari segment replaces a long road transfer, maximizing your beach time.
Departure
Departure is from Zanzibar Airport (ZNZ), with direct international connections to major hubs. We handle the private transfer to the airport on Day 10.
