How this Kenya safari estimate is worked out
Park and conservancy fees
Entry fees are charged per person per 24 hours and depend on the park and your residency status. Maasai Mara non-resident adults pay $100 a day from January to June and $200 a day from July to December 2026. KWS parks such as Amboseli and Lake Nakuru charge non-resident adults $90.
Accommodation and season
Nightly rates start from a base price per tier and move with the month. April and May cost less, July to October cost about 30% more, and December carries a festive premium. Trips that combine two or more parks get a modest reduction on lodging and transport.
Transport
Private trips are priced per vehicle per day, with one vehicle for every six guests. Shared safaris are priced per person. Fly-in trips add scheduled bush flights between parks plus short game drives from camp.
