Checking out of the River Camp todays drive will take you through the National Park towards the Ngorongoro Crater, having an experienced guide ensures that you take the more scenic route and if you decide you want to stop and visit Lake Manyara then feel free. Watch out of the tree climbing lions!!

You will check in to the Kirurumu Ngorongoro Camp or any other for one night, which is a small and intimate camp set in one of the most strategic and beautiful areas in the Ngorongoro Highlands. You will stay in one of the 10 en-suite tents, ideal for a cosy night’s sleep after a busy day’s safari.

DOUBLE TENT AT SERENGETI WILDERNESS CAMP OR ANY OTHER

We recommend getting up early on day four so that you can make the most of your visit to the crater – one of the most impressive geological features in Africa. With a range of ecosystems within the crater the wildlife spotting opportunities are vast, with lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, elephants, hippos and rhinos all nearby.

When it’s time to leave the crater, your driver will head towards the Serengeti National Park, where you will be staying in The Wild Frontiers Wilderness Camp or any other.

The Wilderness Camp has the advantage of being able to move to some of the best viewing areas and every 3-6 months it moves to a new location your will arrive in time for dinner and share safari stories with the other campers.

WILDEBEEST IN THE SERENGETI

Your safari experience so far has been leading up to this day, a full day game drive in the Serengeti, one of Africa’s most famous National Parks! The Serengeti has some of the highest concentrations of wildlife in all of Africa and is a great destination to see the “big 5”.

When the sun starts setting, you will return to the Wilderness Camp or any other for one more night.

Suggestion – Depending upon the time of year you may wish to swap the Wilderness Lodge for Ndutu Lodge in order to maximize viewing potential for the annual Wildebeest Migration – speak to us at Far and Wild for more information.

BEDROOM AT THE ZANZIBAR PALACE HOTEL OR ANY OTHER

After a mornings game drive, it’s time to say goodbye to your driver, and friend, as he will drop you at the airstrip in the Serengeti to catch your flight to the island of Zanzibar.

Upon landing you will be taken to the Zanzibar Palace Hotel or any other where you can wash off the safari dust and head out to explore the cultural and historical wonder that is Stone Town. The Palace Hotel is hidden away in the streets on the town, providing the perfect base to visit the museums, markets and the Old Fort.

THE SHOOTING STAR LODGE OR ANY OTHER, ZANZIBAR

After a leisurely breakfast you will be collected and taken to the beach, approximately one hour’s drive will see you transported to some of the world’s most stunning beaches and the Shooting Star Lodge or any other. At this a beautiful beach side retreat, spend the days recharging your batteries on the beach or by the pool. If you are looking for something more energetic, then check out the lodges list of activities, including snorkeling, Scuba diving, dolphin spotting, kite surfing and parasailing, to name a few.

As well as relaxing and recuperating these few days on the beach give you chance to reflect and take stock on the wonders that you have just witnessed on safari.

You will be transferred back to Zanzibar airport to catch your flight home. You will arrive back refreshed and in awe of everything that Tanzania has to offer, ready to share your stories and photographs with your friends and family at home.
