This 3-day safari from Watamu covers two of Kenya's most requested parks: Tsavo East and Amboseli. It's built for coastal travellers who want a real safari without giving up beach time.
You'll spend a night near Tsavo East chasing the region's red-dust elephants, then move to Amboseli for elephant herds framed against Mount Kilimanjaro. Five game drives across three days give you strong odds of seeing lion, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, and, on a clear morning, the mountain itself.
This is a private safari, not a group or shared-van tour. You travel in a dedicated 4x4 safari Jeep or Land Cruiser with your own driver-guide, on your own schedule. No sharing seats with strangers, no fixed group pace.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Watamu – Tsavo East National Park
Early pickup from your Watamu hotel, around 6:00–6:30 AM. Drive roughly 3–4 hours to Tsavo East, entering through Sala Gate. Game drive en route to your lodge, watching for lion, buffalo, and Tsavo's famous red elephants.
Arrive for lunch, rest through the midday heat, then head out for an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at a lodge or tented camp in Tsavo East.
Day 2: Tsavo East – Amboseli National Park
Early morning game drive in Tsavo East while temperatures are cool and animals are active. Return for breakfast and check-out. Drive to Amboseli, around 4–5 hours, arriving in time for lunch.
Rest, then set out for an afternoon game drive focused on Amboseli's large elephant herds, with Kilimanjaro in the background if skies are clear. Dinner and overnight in Amboseli.

Day 3: Amboseli – Watamu
Early sunrise game drive, the best window for a clear Kilimanjaro view and active elephant herds heading to the swamps. Return for breakfast and check-out.
Drive back to Watamu, with a lunch stop en route. Drop-off at your hotel in the late afternoon or early evening.

Getting There
The safari starts and ends at your hotel in Watamu, Malindi, or nearby North Coast resorts (Kilifi included on request). Your driver-guide picks you up directly — no need to arrange separate transport to a meeting point.
Driving distance from Watamu to Tsavo East (Sala Gate) is roughly 200 km, about 3–4 hours depending on road conditions. From Tsavo East to Amboseli is a further 4–5 hours. The return leg to Watamu on Day 3 covers similar ground, usually with a lunch stop in Voi.
