This 3-day safari links Kenya's two Tsavo parks and Amboseli in one loop from Nairobi. It's built for travellers with limited time who still want three distinct ecosystems: Tsavo East's red-dust plains, Tsavo West's volcanic hills and Mzima Springs, and Amboseli's elephant herds under Mount Kilimanjaro.
Three parks in three days is a fast pace — driving between parks takes 3–5 hours a day. If you prefer a slower circuit with more game-drive time per park, our 4-Day Tsavo West, Amboseli & Tsavo East safari covers the same route with an extra night.
Safari Highlights
- 3 days / 2 nights across three parks
- Private 4x4 Land Cruiser with pop-up roof
- Tsavo East's red-dusted elephant herds and the Galana River

- Shetani Lava Flow and Chaimu Crater in Tsavo West
- Chance of rhino sightings at Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary
- Amboseli's elephant herds and Mount Kilimanjaro views
- Optional Maasai village visit
- Can end at Mombasa or Diani Beach instead of Nairobi
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Tsavo East National Park
Pickup from your Nairobi hotel or JKIA by 7:00–7:30 AM. Drive south via Mtito Andei Gate, approximately 4–5 hours. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch.
Afternoon game drive in Tsavo East, Kenya's largest park, known for red-dusted elephant herds, lion, and the Galana River. Stop at Aruba Dam or Mudanda Rock if time allows. Dinner and overnight at a lodge or tented camp in Tsavo East.
Day 2: Tsavo East – Tsavo West National Park
Early morning game drive before breakfast. Check out and cross into Tsavo West via Tsavo Gate, approximately 2–3 hours. En route, visit Mzima Springs, an underwater viewing chamber for hippo and crocodile.
Lunch at your Tsavo West lodge. Afternoon game drive covering Shetani Lava Flow and Chaimu Crater, and a chance at rhino sightings in Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary. Dinner and overnight in Tsavo West.
Day 3: Tsavo West – Amboseli – Nairobi
Early breakfast, then drive to Amboseli via Chyulu Gate, approximately 2–3 hours — the most direct link between the two parks. Morning and early-afternoon game drive in Amboseli, best known for large free-ranging elephant herds and clear Kilimanjaro views, typically best before 10 AM.
Late lunch, then drive back to Nairobi, approximately 4 hours, arriving early evening. Tour ends with drop-off at your hotel or JKIA. This itinerary can also end at Mombasa/Diani instead of Nairobi — ask us to adjust the route.
Optional Add-Ons
A stop at Observation Hill or a Maasai village visit in Amboseli.
