Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Watamu to Tsavo East
Pick-up from your Watamu hotel after breakfast. Drive to Tsavo East via Sala Gate, approximately 4–5 hours.
Afternoon game drive in search of red elephants, lion, and buffalo along the Galana River. Dinner and overnight in Tsavo East.
Day 2: Tsavo East to Tsavo West
Morning game drive, then transfer to Tsavo West, approximately 2–3 hours. Stop at Mzima Springs to view hippo and crocodile through the underwater observation window.
Afternoon game drive past the Shetani Lava Flow. Overnight in Tsavo West.
Day 3: Tsavo West to Amboseli
Morning game drive with a chance at rhino near Ngulia Sanctuary. Drive to Amboseli via Kimana Gate, approximately 3–4 hours.
Afternoon arrival and first game drive, weather permitting, with Kilimanjaro views. Overnight in Amboseli.
Day 4: Full Day Amboseli
Sunrise game drive, the clearest window for Kilimanjaro photos and elephant herds moving to the swamps.
Afternoon game drive around Observation Hill and the Amboseli swamps. Overnight in Amboseli.
Optional Add-Ons

Day 5: Amboseli to Watamu
Final morning game drive, then breakfast and departure. Long drive back to the coast via Voi and Mombasa, approximately 6–7 hours.

Getting There
The safari starts and ends at your hotel in Watamu, Malindi, or Mombasa. Your driver-guide picks you up directly — no need to travel to Nairobi first. The route runs along the Mombasa–Nairobi highway to Voi, then branches into Tsavo East, Tsavo West, and on to Amboseli via Kimana Gate.
Coming from overseas, fly into Moi International Airport (Mombasa) or Malindi Airport, then connect to your coastal hotel before the safari begins.
