This 5-day safari covers four wildlife areas in southern Kenya: Tsavo East, Tsavo West, Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, and Amboseli. Starting and ending on the coast, it's built for Mombasa/Diani-based travellers who want a full southern Kenya circuit without flying to Nairobi first.
Taita Hills is a privately run sanctuary, not a national park, so it allows off-road driving and night game drives — something the national parks either restrict or don't offer.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Pickup from your Mombasa, Nyali, or Diani hotel in the morning. Drive to Tsavo East via Buchuma or Voi Gate, approximately 3 hours, arriving in time for lunch.
Afternoon game drive around Aruba Dam and Mudanda Rock, in search of Tsavo East's red-dust elephant herds and lion. Dinner and overnight in Tsavo East.
Day 2: Tsavo East – Amboseli National Park
Early morning game drive before breakfast. Check out and transfer to Amboseli via the Tsavo West corridor, approximately 4–5 hours, with a game drive en route. Arrive for a late lunch.
Afternoon game drive with elephant herds and, weather permitting, clear Kilimanjaro views. Dinner and overnight in Amboseli.
Day 3: Amboseli – Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary
Early morning game drive for the best light and clearest Kilimanjaro views. After breakfast, transfer to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, a private conservancy bordering Tsavo West, approximately 3 hours.
Afternoon game drive across its hillier, greener terrain. Dinner and overnight at Taita Hills.
Optional Add-Ons
As a private sanctuary, an optional night game drive is available to spot nocturnal wildlife rarely seen in the national parks.
Day 4: Taita Hills – Tsavo West National Park
Morning game drive at Taita Hills, then a short transfer into Tsavo West, approximately 1–2 hours, the shortest leg of the trip since the sanctuary borders the park. Stop at Mzima Springs for hippo and crocodile viewing through the underwater chamber.
Afternoon game drive covering Shetani Lava Flow, Chaimu Crater, and Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary. Dinner and overnight in Tsavo West.
Day 5: Tsavo West – Mombasa
Early morning game drive before breakfast. Depart for Mombasa, approximately 4 hours, arriving early to mid-afternoon. Tour ends with drop-off at your Mombasa, Nyali, or Diani hotel.
