Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha / Kilimanjaro Airport to Tarangire National Park
Your guide meets you at JRO or your Arusha hotel. Load up the Land Cruiser and head to Tarangire (about 2 to 3 hours). Start your game drive by early afternoon. Tarangire is known for large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Look for lions, giraffes, and buffalo along the Tarangire River.
Day 2: Tarangire to Central Serengeti (Seronera River Valley)
Leave after breakfast. Drive through the Ngorongoro highlands and into the Serengeti. Game viewing starts as soon as you enter the park. Your guide takes you into the Seronera River Valley, one of the best areas for lions and leopards. Expect an evening game drive as you reach camp.
Day 3: Full Day Serengeti (Great Migration Tracking & Big Cats)
A full day of game drives. Your guide follows the latest reports on herd movements. Watch for cheetahs on the open plains, leopards in the acacias, and lions on the kopjes. Take a bush breakfast or picnic lunch to stay out longer. Return for a rest, or go back out for golden-hour light.
Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Enjoy one last morning game drive. Then drive out of the Serengeti and climb to the Ngorongoro crater rim. You arrive by mid-afternoon. Check in, relax, and take in the view over the caldera from your lodge.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Floor Game Drive, Then Fly to Zanzibar
Descend at sunrise for a half-day game drive on the crater floor. It holds one of Africa's densest wildlife populations. You may see black rhino, lions, hippos, and huge flocks of flamingos. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor. Then drive to Manyara airstrip and fly to Zanzibar's Abeid Amani Karume Airport (ZNZ). The route connects via Arusha or Dar es Salaam. A driver takes you to your beach resort in Nungwi or Kendwa.
Day 6: Zanzibar Beach Day + Private Stone Town & Spice Tour
Your choice. Spend the day on the white sand at Nungwi and Kendwa. Or add a private Stone Town and spice farm tour. Walk the old alleys, visit the markets, and taste fresh spices. Stone Town is about 1 to 1.5 hours from the north coast, so we plan an early start.
Optional add-on: private Stone Town and spice farm tour, included in the tour price — see inclusions. Choose a full beach day instead if you'd rather relax.
Day 7: Zanzibar Departure
Have a slow breakfast. Your private driver transfers you to ZNZ for your onward flight. Late flight? Ask about late checkout.
