Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara
Pickup from your Nairobi hotel or JKIA, then transfer to Wilson Airport for check-in, 60 minutes before departure. The flight to your lodge's airstrip takes 45 minutes to just over an hour, with aerial views over the Great Rift Valley and Ngong Hills.
Your driver-guide meets you at the airstrip in the Land Cruiser jeep. Check in at your lodge, have lunch, then set out on an afternoon game drive from around 3:30–4:00 PM until sunset. Dinner and overnight at your camp.
Day 2: Full Day in the Masai Mara
This is your main game-viewing day. Early breakfast, then a full-day drive with a picnic or bush lunch in the field so you don't lose time returning to camp. Cover more ground and track predators.
Return to camp for sundowners and dinner.
Optional Add-Ons
If staying in a conservancy, a guided bush walk or Maasai cultural visit can be added in the afternoon.
Day 3: Masai Mara – Nairobi
Early morning game drive before breakfast, often the best window for cat sightings. Return to camp, pack up, and transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Wilson.
Drop-off at your Nairobi hotel or JKIA for onward travel.

Getting There
All flights depart from Wilson Airport (WIL) in Langata, Nairobi, not JKIA. If you're arriving internationally, we transfer you from JKIA to your hotel first, then to Wilson the next morning, unless timing allows a same-day connection.
Scheduled carriers run multiple daily departures to Mara airstrips, generally in the morning (07:00–08:00), mid-morning (10:00–10:30), and afternoon (14:00–16:00) windows. Flight time is 45 minutes to just over an hour, and flights often make one or two stops at other Mara airstrips en route — this is standard and won't meaningfully affect your total travel time.
Baggage
Baggage is limited to 15kg per person in soft-sided bags only; hard suitcases aren't accepted on the aircraft. We can store excess luggage at your Nairobi hotel or a Wilson Airport locker for a small fee.
During peak migration season, airlines add extra midday flights to handle demand — book early, as seats fill weeks in advance.
