Four days in the Masai Mara, reached by scheduled flight in under an hour, gives you the deepest game-viewing time of any of our short Mara packages. Instead of one big day sandwiched between two half-days, you get three substantial game-viewing days: an arrival drive, two full days, and a final morning drive before flying home.
This is a private safari in a 4x4 Land Cruiser jeep with your own driver-guide, not a shared van. Your vehicle, pace, and route are exclusive to your party for the entire trip.
Safari Highlights
- Flight time under 65 minutes, versus 5–6 hours by road

- Strong odds at all Big Five given the extra time in the field

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara
Pickup from your Nairobi hotel or JKIA, then transfer to Wilson Airport for check-in, 60 minutes before departure. The flight to your lodge's airstrip takes 45 minutes to just over an hour.
Your driver-guide meets you at the airstrip in the Land Cruiser jeep. Check in, have lunch, then head out on an afternoon game drive from around 3:30–4:00 PM until sunset. Dinner and overnight at your camp.
Day 2: Full Day in the Masai Mara
Morning and afternoon game drives with a bush lunch in the field, covering ground you'll want to revisit and tracking predator movements from the previous evening.
Sundowners and dinner back at camp.
Day 3: Second Full Day in the Masai Mara
A second full day lets your guide explore areas missed on Day 2, whether that's the Mara River crossing points, the Mara Triangle, or a nearby conservancy if your camp offers access.
Second bush lunch in the field. Dinner and overnight at your camp.
Optional Add-Ons
A hot-air balloon safari at dawn, or a guided Maasai cultural visit, both at an additional cost.
Day 4: Masai Mara – Nairobi
Final early morning game drive before breakfast, often the best window for cat sightings. Return to camp, pack up, and transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Wilson.
Drop-off at your Nairobi hotel or JKIA for onward travel.

Getting There
All flights depart from Wilson Airport (WIL) in Langata, Nairobi, not JKIA. If you're arriving internationally, we transfer you from JKIA to your hotel first, then to Wilson the next morning, unless timing allows a same-day connection.
Scheduled carriers run multiple daily departures to Mara airstrips, generally in the morning, mid-morning, and afternoon windows. Flight time is 45 minutes to just over an hour, and flights often make one or two stops at other Mara airstrips en route — this is standard and won't meaningfully affect your total travel time.
Baggage
Baggage is limited to 15kg per person in soft-sided bags only; hard suitcases aren't accepted on the aircraft. We can store excess luggage at your Nairobi hotel or a Wilson Airport locker for a small fee.
