Best ForRepeat safari travellers and conservation-focused visitors wanting Kenya's fullest wildlife circuit, including a rare northern white rhino sighting

This 9-day, 8-night safari is our most complete Kenya circuit, combining four destinations: Samburu's dry-country Special Five, Ol Pejeta Conservancy's rhino sanctuary, the Masai Mara's Big Five density, and Amboseli's elephant herds beneath Mount Kilimanjaro.

Ol Pejeta is the standout stop for conservation-focused travellers: it's home to Najin and Fatu, the last two northern white rhinos on Earth, alongside the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa.

Since Samburu and Ol Pejeta are close enough for a road transfer, that leg runs by private vehicle with a game-drive route, while the remaining transfers are by scheduled flight via Nairobi. This is a private safari throughout, not a shared van tour. A fresh 4x4 Land Cruiser jeep and driver-guide meets you at each destination.

Getting There

This itinerary is available with two starting points: Nairobi, or Mombasa/Diani on the coast. Both connect through Wilson Airport (WIL) in Langata, Nairobi, not JKIA. If starting from the coast, we arrange a connecting flight or transfer to Wilson before Day 1 begins.

The Samburu-to-Ol Pejeta leg on Day 3 is the only road transfer in the itinerary, roughly 2–3 hours, since the two destinations sit close enough that a flight isn't necessary. Every other leg is a scheduled flight, each routed via Wilson Airport with a short layover, typically 1.5–2 hours total per connection.

Baggage

Baggage is limited to 15kg per person in soft-sided bags only, for each flight leg; hard suitcases aren't accepted on the aircraft. We can store excess luggage at your Nairobi hotel or a Wilson Airport locker for a small fee.

Ol Pejeta is a short road transfer from Samburu, roughly 2 to 3 hours, making it an efficient add-on rather than a separate flight leg. It also holds the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa and the last two northern white rhinos in the world.

15kg per person total, in soft duffel-style bags, for each flight leg. Hard suitcases aren't accepted on the light aircraft used for these routes.

June to October and December to March are generally dry across all four destinations. July to October also covers the Great Migration in the Mara and clearer Kilimanjaro views from Amboseli, though it's the highest-demand and highest-priced window.

Yes, on request, during the Mara portion of the trip, for an additional cost.

Yes. The Samburu–Ol Pejeta–Mara–Amboseli sequence is our standard routing, but the order can be adjusted around flight schedules, camp availability, or your own preferences.
