This seven-day safari runs from Arusha through Tarangire National Park and into the Serengeti, with three full days split across the Central and Northern Serengeti for the best odds of catching the Great Migration's Mara River crossings, before finishing with a full game drive on the Ngorongoro Crater floor. You travel in a private, pop-up-roof 4x4 with mineral water and power sockets, with an English-speaking guide throughout.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to Arusha
Your safari guide collects you at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport and transfers you to your lodge in Arusha. Relax and rest ahead of the days to come — if time allows, your guide can take you to explore the city at no additional cost.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
An early pickup from your lodge starts the journey to Tarangire National Park for a game drive, with a hot lunch carried along. Tarangire is known for its large elephant herds and varied landscapes, from seasonal swamps to open savannah, with the Tarangire River — the only water source for wildlife in the dry season — winding through the park. Watch for lion stalking prey and leopards relaxing in the trees above. Once the game drives are done, you're driven to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Central Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart for the Serengeti with a game drive along the way, stopping for lunch at a suitable spot inside the park before continuing the game drive into the afternoon and reaching your camp. The Serengeti is best known for its great migrating herds of zebra, antelope and wildebeest, highly dependent on the rainy seasons, alongside resident predators — leopard, cheetah and lion.

Day 4: Northern Serengeti — Wildebeest Migration Crossing the Mara River
After breakfast, depart for a full day game drive in the Northern Serengeti, carrying lunch boxes. This region is home to the spectacular Great Migration — watch thousands of wildebeest and zebra crossing the Mara River, often shadowed by predators. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot within the park before continuing to track wildlife across the plains and riverine areas. In the evening, transfer to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Northern Serengeti to Central Serengeti
Start the day with an early morning game drive in the Northern Serengeti, taking in the savannah at sunrise with chances to spot predators on the move and, seasonally, the Great Migration itself. After an exciting morning, continue with an en-route game-viewing drive toward the Central Serengeti, renowned for its abundant resident wildlife and landscapes. Arrive in the late afternoon for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay in the heart of the wilderness.
Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater — African Eden
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game drive across one of Africa's most remarkable wildlife havens. Explore the crater floor, home to an incredible concentration of wildlife including lions, elephants, buffalo, flamingos and the rare black rhino, surrounded by towering crater walls. After an amazing time in the crater, ascend in the afternoon and drive to Arusha for your final night.

Day 7: Arusha to Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport
After breakfast, relax at the lodge before your driver transfers you to Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight. If time allows, you can explore the city and pick up souvenirs before heading to the airport.

Getting There & Travel Logistics
This tour starts and ends in Arusha. Fly into Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), near Arusha, or into Arusha Airport (ARK) via Dar es Salaam or Nairobi. We can help you select your international flights, but you'll need to book them yourself. A roundtrip airport transfer is included in your tour price.
Vehicle & Activities
All game drives and transfers use a private, pop-up-roof 4x4 vehicle stocked with mineral water and power sockets — the same vehicle throughout the tour, and never shared with other travellers.
